66 Monza convertible Evening Orchid, Powerglide, completely rebuilt engine (by Eddie Meadows) $7000 OBO

Here are some notes from Eddie regarding the build:

– I have been working on this nice car for several months at request of the current owner. Initially intended to be a Holley Sniper EFI conversion. I began by totally rebuilding the engine and then installing the high pressure and return line fuel pump and lines. Recently receive a call from the owner that due to health issues the car needs to go and to please get the car running. So we agreed that I would get rid of the EFI system and replace with carb(s). I had 2 choices: 1. removed the 6 tube manifold and heads and replace with 140 heads and carbs (kinda expensive and much work) or, 2 find an adapter for the Chenwof manifold so a 390 holley 4bbl would bolt on. I found the adapter and bought a new 4150 Holley 4bbl carb $725.00)., installed a new low pressure electric fuel pump (removed all the high pressure pump and lines), and hooked it up. After some mods to the jetting on the Holley, it runs really well, pretty torquey off the line and drives OK (See picture below).

– There is at least $4500 in parts and labor in the engine. I started with a hot tanked block and new cam/gear and polished crank, new Clark’s full-fin barrels, 30 over pistons, new rings, and reconditioned rods. Heads were rebuilt by Star Cooke.

– The color is Evening Orchid and the paint is in pretty good condition with black top and interior. No dents and just one very small rust spot in the left front door at the bottom. Interior needs cleaned up but OK. The convertible top looks new but it was not installed correctly and needs to be re-fitted. Odometer show 8668 miles but who knows. Some paint is flaking off the dash but all gauges work and it has a wooden steering wheel with a suicide knob. It does have an aftermarket AM/FM radio with dual speakers that works. The wheels are steel rally type with chrome mini hub caps (chrome is bad) with 195x65x15 tires and a DOT number of 4820 (3 years old).

If anyone is interested, please give me call and I can send more pictures and you can come here and drive it or call me with any questions.
